New Windows Client TechCenter Takes a Lifecycle Approach to Content
To help support IT professionals with Windows client software across the entire lifecycle, the Windows and TechNet teams have collaborated to launch a new unified Windows Client TechCenter.
This new TechCenter is different from all the others on TechNet in that it replaces the standard "task navigation" tabs (Library, Support, Learn, etc.) with new sections that leverage the Springboard Series content model and package information by adoption lifecycle stage:
Discover -> Explore -> Pilot -> Deploy -> Manage
Site and technical tasks have moved from the top tabs to the right "rail" and offer cross-product content for key tasks like Application and Hardware Compatibility, Imaging, Security, and Networking. This new TechCenter is available in 8 langauges: French, Spanish, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Germany, Russian, Portuguese, Korean, and Italian.
Chris Flores blogged a great interview with Mark Russinovich on the new approach; see also Celine Allee's TechTalk video.
Give us your feedback on this new approach on the TechNet Website Feedback Forum.
Pls also register to attend the June 18th Virtual Roundtable on Windows Vista Security, hosted by Microsoft Technical Fellow and desktop guru Mark Russinovich.
