<p>"In this webcast, we explore the Microsoft Exchange Server Mail Flow Analyzer, which is part of Microsoft Exchange Troubleshooting Assistant. We describe how the Microsoft Exchange Server Mail Flow Analyzer is a diagnostic tool that walks you through the correct path for troubleshooting problems with e-mail flow, from analyzing symptoms to implementing solutions. Providing easy access to key data sources, this tool automatically diagnoses retrieved data, presents an analysis of the possible root causes, and suggests corrective actions. The Exchange Server Mail Flow Analyzer also helps you manually diagnose data when automation is not possible. Join this session to learn how this tool empowers you to isolate your own issues and to take remedial action to solve them. We show you how the Exchange Server Mail Flow Analyzer can help you troubleshoot the following symptoms: Users receive unexpected non-delivery reports when sending messages. Expected messages from senders are delayed or are not received. Messages destined to recipients are delayed or are not received. Messages are backing up in one or more queues on a server." <P>In this session, we look at the Edge Transport server role in Microsoft Exchange Server 2007. While we provided an overview of server roles in an earlier session of this series on Exchange Server 2007, we look at configuring the Edge Transport role in greater detail in this webcast. We begin by exploring the process for implementing an Edge Transport server role and by discussing EdgeSync, a service that provides data replication and synchronization between Active Directory and Active Directory Application Mode (ADAM) for a subscribed Edge Transport server. From there, we examine the Internet message delivery, describe how it works, and demonstrate how to configure Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) connectors. We conclude with a discussion of security concerns associated with using SMTP e-mail and illustrate the options you have for securing SMTP e-mail. To complete the homework that is associated with this webcast series, you can register and attend the live Labcast Series, or you can register for a self-paced Virtual Lab. <P>In 2007, the start and end dates for daylight saving time (DST) in the United States change to comply with the U.S. Energy Policy Act of 2005. We "spring forward" three weeks earlier on March 11 and "fall back" one week later on November 4. The change in DST could affect clocks, watches, mobile phones, personal computers, servers, and software applications. We know the change in DST will also have an impact on Microsoft products, including Windows operating systems, server products, and Windows Mobile powered applications. Attend this webcast for a comprehensive look at the problems DST changes present to small businesses and the solutions Microsoft provides that can help fix issues related to the DST changes. Particular products we discuss include Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft Office Outlook, and Windows client operating systems. Any small business that wants to avoid potential problems caused by the changes in DST should attend this session. Original Broadcast Date: Monday, February 26, 2007
