Ok.. so who sells and services these products in the Greater Seattle area? Almost 3 months this has been out, the phones were announced for quarter 3 but I can't find any prices or materials other than marketing. I want to spend money.. whos going to take it?

You should be able to get them through your usual channel partners for LG-Nortel, Polycom or Thomson.

Hi Johann, I caught your demo at the NZ Tech-Ed and was very impressed. We are currently in the pre planning phase of OCS deployment but I am struggling to find information on some of the telephony funtionality. Namely with a purely OCS deployment (no IP PBX) can you have hunt groups and can you pick-up another persons call (i.e. a colleagues phone is ringing how do I pick it up on my phone/communicator).

Any help very much appreciated.

Glad to hear that you liked the demo ;)

Regarding OCS voice - the two scenarios you describe are actually not in this release of OCS :(

OCS 2007 is a great experience for people like myself (very mobile, only making/receiving phonecalls, with the occasional concall and conference), but isn't really suitable for those who need additional telephony features like answering another person's phone when it is ringing. Sorry.

Exchange doesn't natively support MWI with PBX phones, but we have a partner Geomant who provide this capability.

OCS has MWI functionality for Exchange UM messages - e.g. Communicator will display an icon, as will the Communicator Phone Edition.

OCS doesn't have any voicemail capability itself - it does rely on Exchange to provide this functionality.
