The Rugby World Cup and Outlook

Published 05 September 07 11:48 AM

If you're a rugby nut like me then it's probably very important that you have the times of all of the World Cup games in your calendar.

Well here is an Outlook public holidays file that will pre-populate these for you :)

UPDATE: the originally linked HOL file actually has the game times hard-coded to local time (i.e. France) which may cause problems.  So instead here is an Outlook .ics file I created which has all of the game times in AEST.  Hopefully this should adjust to your local timezone if you're non-AEST, although I haven't tested this yet - let me know your results/feedback.

Enjoy!

I'm in "romance time" in copenhagen, and your .ics file adjusted perfectly.

Our daylight savings changes on 28th October, which is after the final. If someone is in a timezone which shifts daylight savings during the games, they might want to add their results here too.

Many thanks.

Thanks Johann now we just need the gadget to track the scores and ladders like we had for the Worldcup soccer.

Nice work, Johann. Exactly what I was looking for and imported as UK BST too! One suggestion for a change would be to make the 'Show as:' set to 'Free'.

I've just had to go in and change them all from Busy to Free as otherwise no one will book meetings with me this next month!!

Is that such a bad thing?  ;)

But really - thanks for the suggestion, I have just made the change.
