Partner Training

The SharePoint partner team in the UK have been planning training and readiness for the next year and we've got a series of web seminars lined up. These seminars are sales training focussed around different aspects of SharePoint and how to sell WSS or MOSS as a solution to a particular type of business problem. Each of these seminars will be about an hour long and can be viewed either on their own or as a whole series.

ECAL Suite LiveMeeting for Partners

If you work for a Microsoft Partner and are confused what exactly the CAL Suites are and why people might want the ECAL Suite, this might be for you. Some of my colleagues at Microsoft have produced this webcast to increase partner understanding of the suites.

A standard CAL is a base license that provices access rights to the basic features of a server. An enterprise CAL is an additive license that provides access rights to additional features. The Microsoft CAL Suites are collections of licenses that can be purchased together for benefits in cost, ease of purchasing and support. Watch this webcast to learn what those benefits are and what product licenses are included.

SharePoint Hosting Webcasts

In June, I'm going to be running a series of three webcasts for hosting partners. They will particularly be aimed at sales people. Each session will go through the features enabled by a licensing level of SharePoint, as well as the potential value of those features to end customers. At the end of the three webcasts, attendees should understand what capabilities come in each version and be able to see where the opportunites are to up-sell.

SharePoint Training

I'm running more SharePoint training days for partners. The purpose of the day is to give a high-level overview of the capabilities and value of SharePoint solutions. The training is not at all technical but should give business persons an understanding of what could be done with SharePoint and sales and marketing folk an idea of how to position it and why customers might want it.
