There are spaces available on courses Microsoft are putting on for partners around SharePoint for web content management. The training is a four-day bootcamp for developers, aimed at IT professionals who currently work on MOSS internal deployments who want to learn web content management.

The course costs only £150 and is run in London from 15th to 18th December, 9am-5:30pm.

ECAL Suite LiveMeeting for Partners

If you work for a Microsoft Partner and are confused what exactly the CAL Suites are and why people might want the ECAL Suite, this might be for you. Some of my colleagues at Microsoft have produced this webcast to increase partner understanding of the suites.

A standard CAL is a base license that provices access rights to the basic features of a server. An enterprise CAL is an additive license that provides access rights to additional features. The Microsoft CAL Suites are collections of licenses that can be purchased together for benefits in cost, ease of purchasing and support. SharePoint Training

I'm running more SharePoint training days for partners. The purpose of the day is to give a high-level overview of the capabilities and value of SharePoint solutions. The training is not at all technical but should give business persons an understanding of what could be done with SharePoint and sales and marketing folk an idea of how to position it and why customers might want it.

Due to the high attendance and positive feedback for my first SharePoint training days, I will be running a third on 16th April in Microsoft's London offices. This is a free event for Microsoft partners.

The purpose of the day is to provide a broad overview of the capabilities of the three levels of SharePoint (WSS 3.0, MOSS Standard, MOSS Enterprise) and help partners gain an understanding of the value, both for their customers and as part of their business offering. The session will not be at all technical but it still may be of use to technical people who are very new to SharePoint and want to see the big picture.

I will be running two SharePoint training sessions for partners during March on the 18th and the 30th at the UK campus in Reading. These will be introductory and overview sessions intended to cover the whole of the SharePoint platform and give a good understanding of SharePoint's capabilities and value.

They are not going to be deeply technical and should be good for business managers considering investing in a SharePoint offering or sales people wanting to know how to explain the value.

InfoPath Partner Training

I am going to be running training on InfoPath at Microsoft's UK Campus in Reading. This course is called Business Benefits of using InfoPath in Forms Development. The training is aimed at partners and intended to give a detailed overview of the business value and functionality of InfoPath 2007 and Forms Services. I do not plan on going into much technical detail, though the training is largely demo based and I will be willing to go into more detail on areas that are of particular interest to the attendees.

The training is on 23rd February from 12 noon.

This course is only open to Microsoft partners (or Microsoft employees who feel this would benefit them).
