A Novel Website

I’m using this blog to make an announcement about something that has nothing to do with SharePoint, InfoPath or any other Microsoft technology. A few people have asked me about my novel, so I’d like to point you to a new website http://www.childofthehive.com

This website includes a news feed which you can subscribe to via RSS so that’s the place to go if you want to get the latest information about the book. The website also includes some short extracts so you can get a taste of what the book is like. I will be adding a couple more extracts in the run up to the launch. If you like what you hear, please share these extracts with others you think might be interested.

There's going to be a launch party for the novel in London on 26th September. If you're interested in attending or know someone who might like to come, let me know and I'll give you the details.

The site’s pretty new at the moment and there are plans to add more content over the next few weeks. I don't plan on using this blog for anymore book promotion. I'll get back to my InfoPath and workflow content and leave the book announcements to the website.

In this post, I'll be talking about something other than SharePoint and forms for a change. I'm pleased to announce that my novel, Child of the Hive, is now available for pre-order.

This is a science-fiction thriller set in Britain in the near future. It's both a fast-paced adventure and a philosophical exploration of what it means to be human in a world of ever-increasing technological sophistication. The book will be available in hardback from 24th September 2009 and you can order it now for £17.99 from the publisher's website or Amazon.
