BitLocker Deployment Planning
One of the most compelling security features of Windows Vista is BitLocker Drive Encryption. It enables users of
Windows Vista Enterprise and Windows Vista Ultimate to fully encrypt the system partition and protect the data that resides on that partition; should the machine fall into the wrong hands. I use it on both of my laptops and it has zero impact to the performance of these machines.
Internally our Microsoft IT team has been busy rolling this feature out to the business because we have a large fleet of laptops that are rarely in the office so protecting the data on those laptops is extremely important.
