Goodbye FY08…hello FY09..
Well another financial year has passed which means it’s a time to reflect on the achievements of the past year and begin to plan for the next financial year. Actually we’ve been planning for awhile now so it’s time to begin all the new and exciting plans we have for the new year. So FY08 was a big year..Off the top of my head these are the big things I had on..
- Teched Australia 2007 – Track owner for the Unified Communications track and delivered 2 sessions
- Teched New Zealand 2007 – Delivered 2 sessions
- Teched SEA 2007 – Delivered 2 sessions
- 3 Technet Update events throughout the year
- Bill Gates 20 year dinner in September
- Windows Server 2008 Jumpstart Training in Singapore
- Unified Communications Launch
- Presented at SAGE-AU national Conference
- Auscert 2008 Conference
- Wave Launch 2008 – This was probably the biggest event of the year. I looked after the security track, delivered a session, helped with setting up hardware for the event and many more things. We travelled to 6 cities and I was buggered by the time it was finished.
- Journalist workshop on Windows Server 2008
- Journalist interviews and positive press articles
- 227 Blog posts
- User groups – Attended many, presented at many of them and talked with so many of the User group leaders
- Teched 2008 track Planning – This started in Q4 of FY08 and will continue until the day the event starts
That’s just a short list but perhaps the most important was I got to talk to so many of you our customers at the many events I attended or was involved with. You guys and gals continue to push our technology to the limit and of course keeps us on out toes at all times.
So I’m looking forward to another good year! Hope to see many of you at an upcoming event!
