Teched 2006 - Day 1 - Student Day
Well Day 1 of Teched 2006 is almost finished. Today was Student Day where we invited 500 or so University students to come and here about careers in IT, Windows Vista and Office 2007. It was a fun day and myself and Scott Savage did the Windows Vista session in the morning and except for our internet connection (doh!) being down everything else went fine. Scott did a great job of showing off some of the features of IE 7.0 in Windows Vista which was cool.
After lunch I decided it was time to get out to the main Showcase are and see how things were shaping up. Well everything is looking great so I thought a few photos were in order.
So how's about our main stand? Looks cool I reckon!
Here's the other side where the guys will be doing lots of Windows Vista Deployment Demo's. Way cool!
And this is the server rack that is powering everything. I watch these guys set this rack up and then put it in the container to be shipped to Teched. Lots of late nights I can assure you!
Then it was over to look at the Digital Lifestyle stand which of course has all the really cool stuff like XBOX 360's and Windows Vista running MediaCentre. And of course they have bean bags! Awesome!
The showcase areas looks really good and what I like about it is it's not too crowded with stands. There is lots of open space to move around. We'll see how it holds up when people start flooding in!
