Windows Home Server Power Pack 1 is ALIVE!!

hero_homeserver_default

Earlier today the long awaited Windows Home Server Power Pack 1 went live on the Microsoft Download Center. Get it here. The guys over at the Windows Home Server Team Blog have more info but here’s a brief clip of the new functionality which includes:

  • Fixes the data corruption bug
  • Supports home machines that are running Windows Vista x64 edition
  • Home Server Shared Folder backup
  • Improved remote access experience
  • Improves power consumption and performance
  • Localisation support for Japan and China

Great, now I can start rebuilding my old home PC as my new Windows Home Server (would have done it sooner but just haven’t had the time!).
