Gigantisches Containerrechenzentrum in Chicago eröffnet
Dublin ist unser modernstes Rechenzentrum der klassischen Art; Chicago hingegen wird neue Maßstäbe für Rechenzentren setzen. Ja, das sage ich mal so ganz bescheiden. Alleine die reinen Zahlen sind schon beeindruckend: 700,000 Square feet groß, gefüllt mit 40 Fuß-Containern (das sind die großen, langen).
Die Cantainer wiederum sind mit 1800 bis 2500 Server gefüllt. Diese neue “Bauweise” ermöglichte eine sehr kurze Bauzeit und einen hochgradig optimierten Betrieb.
