However, sometimes you may find that the report doesn’t contain any traffic. The number of requests, bytes-in and bytes out are all 0. This article will discuss the causes of these problems in ISA Server

re: Troubleshooting: ISA Server Reports Show No Traffic

Hi,

Using ISA 2006 Enterprise with two ISA servers logging to a Single remote SQL server. Trying installing advanced reporting so I can generate Reports, but all I get is blank reports. I can use the logging tab to go as far back in time as I have entries for. I have seen a number of conflicting posts that this works.

Can you verify if reports can be generated or will I need to use SQL reporting ?

When ISA tries to create daily summary, it will connect to the SQL server to get necessary records. I can see two possible causes:

1. ISA fails to connect to the SQL server.

2. The query is unsuccessful.

In the situations above, the daily summary will be empty. Thus report will contain no traffic.

From the symptom, I think cause 2 is more possible.

I think you can try the registry entry claimed in:

http://support.microsoft.com/?id=895190

Edit the DatabaseQueryTimeout to be larger, for example, 120 (means two minutes). And see if the issue can be solved.
