Greetings from QuakeCon 2007

I'm here, I'm set up, I'm connected, and I'm shooting things up!  I met a couple of guys in line for registration who graciously invited me to sit with them and we've been having a blast.  The Expo area is a hoot - alternating between empty and insane depending on the schedule.  Team CheckSix (hi guys) rocked their match.  Oh my, did I mention that it is 3am?  Lol, I'm off to bed.  Have a look at the photo gallery and check out this awesome timelapse video of the setup from last year (scroll to the bottom of the page).   More tomorrow after a good sleep and a six pack of energy drinks.

Hi Craig.  You're officially the first person to respond on this blog!  Congratulations!!  I'd be happy to chat with you about selecting a mouse.  BTW, my email is kflick@microsoft.com, but I was out yesterday and am just wading through my email.

Ok. So Im looking to buy a new gaming mouse, and I dont really have any preferences. All I know is that I want it to be a laser mouse and one that has a couple buttons by the thumb. Wireless or wired? I dont know and I dont thnk I really care. Lemme know some details or suggestions bro!

Well, I make it a policy not to comment about our competitor's products so I'm going to be admittedly biased in my recommendation!  That said, I've been using the Habu for several months now and I love it.  I particularly like the programmable DPI buttons on the top.  I pretty much leave my mouse at the same sensitivity all the time, so the ability to re-purpose those buttons is great.  It feels great, the software has some great features (Macro recording, for example), and the blue light doesn't hurt!  You can check it out on our website (http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/gaming/gaming.mspx).  If you pick one up, please let me know what you think.  Cheers!
