The Scalable Networking Pack is Now Available - Oh Yeah!

Published 23 May 06 02:17 PM

It true...this morning during Bob Muglia's WinHEC 2006 keynote address, we announced the availability of the Scalable Networking Pack for Windows Server 2003.

It's been one wild ride getting set for the announcement and this morning's launch.  The best part is we showed some killer performance numbers in the keynote demo, a number of our Scalable Networking Pack partners announced compatible hardware offerings and, of course, the bits are now available for download.

A great place to learn more about the Scalable Networking Pack, is the brand new Scalable Networking TechNet site we "opened for business" this morning: http://www.microsoft.com/snp.

I also recommend you checkout the Bob Muglia Q&A on PressPass that makes mention of the announcement and the cool stuff we showed off in the keynote.

Finally, take a look at the NetworkWorld article John Fontana posted this morning:

Microsoft tweaking OS to boost networking performance, scalability

Okay, time to run to another WinHEC session -- this one's on the NetDMA portion of the Scalable Networking Pack -- and then head home for some much deserved rest!
