"Your guide to all things Windows Home Server"
Windows Home Server Forums

With the announcement of Windows Home Server Beta 2, we opened up a public web forum where people can ask questions and learn more about Windows Home Server.  You can get to the forums by using either:

They both go to the same place, one is easier to type.  We are trying to answer all of the Windows Home Server Software questions and also continually post new Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) as specific issues or questions are asked by a multitude of people.  If you want to get a question answered, then please don't add a comment to this blog or send us e-mail as we rely on the community forums to provide this type of dialogue.  Also, please try to provide as many details as possible when asking a question on the forums, including things like the operating system of the Windows PC, etc. etc.  The more detail that is provided, the easier it is to try to understand the issue.

Last Friday, we invited the first 10,000 people who filled out the survey to join the Windows Home Server Beta 2 program.   Here are a few stats:

  • 9,835 people entered a valid e-mail address
  • 6,693 have activated their Connect Invitation ID
  • 5,686 have acquired a product key from the Connect site for installing the software

We hope to be sending out another bunch of invitations soon ... thanks for your patience.

I think the number of invited people acquiring a product key will increase. Lots of people seem to be willing to purchase hardware to run this beta. Some of the invited people likely find themselves in need of new/additional hardware, thus they have not installed it yet.

I suspect my invitation may have been caught up in Outlook's Junk Email folder, which I deleted without reviewing.  Any suggestions on how to check if I was invited?
