Steve really is stupid, it takes him all night to fix a rootkit thereby missing out on an all night marathon 'session'.

Anybody else think the second-last frame was between John Goodman and Samuel L Jackson?

what is wrong with you guys??? why can't you use the artist with the initial art-work.. That was an excellent artist.. Are you guys blind or have some serious eye problems? This art work sucks big time..

For the 2359872th time, they've explained the artwork already. They're changing artists based on local artists relative to where the characters currently are in the world.

The problem isn't the art... the problem is that it took Steve all night to fix a VBScript virus and once again they just glazed over the technical details...

I am the one who submitted the story for this strip.

It has been mangled almost beyond recognition, in order to fit into the continuing narrative (and to make it more interesting than it really was ).

Just for the record, the true story...

1. did not take all night - it took, at most a an hour or two (I was just beginning to code at the time),

2. did not take place in a dorm room,

3. did not involve any of the following: psychedelic looking posters, lava lamps (how old is Steve supposed to be?) or hot chicks :(.

Nobody framed a copy of the malware code for me, but I did print it out and keep it as a trophy for several years after the incident.

It may be unrecognizable, and make me look like a dummy for spending too much time on a vbscript virus (and and even bigger dummy for spending too little time being thanked for fixing the problem), but ... what the hell - I'm in a comic strip!
