I might be wrong, but 5 plus 10 plus 20 plus 25 makes 60, so shouldn't that read "an hour" rather than "half an hour" in the first frame?

Yes, It should be one hour. Hence the caption in the last Panel "One Hour Later."

I think the strip is trying to illustrate, that sometimes even the best laid plans of mice and men go astray.

As we've all been in meetings that where supposed to finished @ a certain time, but ended up going into overtime because of various issues, regardless of how meticulous the planning was.

But again it's the last panel that proves to be the kicker, not much actual work was achieved it seems, but at least they got a cool name for the project.

Funny in it's truth, although a little sad if it's actually based in someone's reality, and we wonder why projects get  bogged down and delayed...
