Virtualization Support for SQL

As of today SQL Server 2005 and 2008 are supported on Hyper-V and for SVVP certified vendor configurations (for example VMWare).

Check out the KB here for details.

Also, check if your virtualization software configuration is an approved SVVP vendor configuration here.
