I don't blame them, I was confused myself in the beginning. :) The answer is here; http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/sbs/evaluation/faq/prodinfo.mspx Q. What is Windows Server for Small Business

re: What is Windows Server for Small Business Server?

I'm afraid i'm still confused

When i read the title i presumed that WSfSBS was the Server 2003 "component" of the SBS bundle that had been tailored for sbs (no trusts, root of domain, etc)

However the explanation makes me think differently

only 15 cals?

no upgrade path?

Or am i just missing something blindingly obvious?

Andy

re: What is Windows Server for Small Business Server?

HI Andy,

WSfSBS can simply be viewed as WS2003 with AD limitations of SBS without the SBS wizards and components.

Only 15CALs can be added so only 15clients can connect at any given time!

No upgrade path because its meant for a such limited use!

Does this help?

re: What is Windows Server for Small Business Server?

Thanks Girish

I got the limitations

So is this a seperate product? I've never heard of it is where i think my confusion comes in

So is this basically for small companies who need a server but not SBS?
