CALs for SBS 2000

For people out there who are still using SBS 2000 getting additional CALs can be a bit of pain.

From the FAQs;

Q. How can I obtain CALs for Small Business Server 2000 or previous versions of the product now that Small Business Server 2000 CALs have been discontinued?

A. You will need to purchase SBS 2003 R2 CALs, and then contact your Microsoft customer service center to order fulfillment media at a nominal fee. Contact the media fulfillment center at 800-248-0655 to order your SBS 2003 R2 CALs and apply your downgrade rights.

For UK customers, you can call MS Direct Services at 0800-032-4479 and ask for a downgrade. A floppy diskette is shipped to you within a week by normal post. There is a nominal charge if you want a courier.

I hope this will help you understand that Tech Support will not be able to help (other than transferring your call over) as there is nothing technical about it!
