clip_image002A hotfix is available for Outlook 2007 that enables certain MAPI applications to create new items in a .pst file after the PstDisableGrow registry entry is configured

Problem description

In Outlook 2003 or Outlook 2007, you want to enable certain MAPI applications to create new items in a .pst file after the PstDisableGrow registry entry is configured.  Also if you configure a size limit for personal folder (.pst) files in Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 or 2007, users may not be able to use Outlook in offline  mode. When this issue occurs, the Mailbox Cleanup Wizard notifies the user that the mailbox has reached its size limit. This behavior occurs even though no size limit is configured on the mailbox on the Microsoft Exchange Server computer.

This issue may occur after you use the MaxFileSize registry entry to configure a size limit for .pst  files in Outlook.

Solution Information

This Fix it Solution automates removing the restriction on PST file sizes in Outlook.

Interesting to note - although the application installs, it does not appear as an installed program or update.
