18 Jun 09  I have Vista.  Within last 2 weeks, when I  view a website page &  select " send a link", nothing happens. Then I discover that my 2007 Outlook won't open. And I cannot close that website page or any other page I could go to.  I keep getting the "bell" ring tone when I

try to close the page, which won't close. I have to turn off the computer to resore access to outlook  e-mail.

What happened in last 2 weeks with M/soft software ?

hi all, this may help some of you with the "links not working in outlook problem" try this, download and install firefox {you dont have to keep it} it sets itself as the default browser, turn off firefox, start internet explorer, it should ask you if you want to make it your default browser, say no, go to tools, internet options, programmes, make internet explorer your default browser, apply, close, close internet explorer, try links in outlook again, this worked for me

good luck, pentiac

I have the same problem. But, Forefox install/remove doesn't fit it. And, I have another symptom no one has mentioned before: The hyperlinks in Word (like cross-references to styles and bookmarks) is also broken--with the same popup error message as others have mentioned in these blogs.
