Hello,

I have upgraded the schema to 47 (2008r2), however the DC server install is only 2003r2. Forest prep and domain prep were successful, and verified NTDS paramaters "schema version = 47". The problem I am having is that I cannot get the "read only" option to become available (or show up) as an option when making a new replication group. I am using the DFS management mmc on the DFS member server which is server install of 2008 (not r2). Am I missing a requirement? Does the DC itself have to be 2008r2 and use the DFS mmc on that 2008r2 DC?

The replication group will be between 2 2008 (not r2) member servers.

correction, the DCs are windows 2000, not 2003r2, however the Forrest\domain schema has been updated to 47.

Hi Kevin,

The server on which you want to configure a read-only replicated folder needs to be running Windows Server 2008 R2.

The read-only replicated folders feature is available only on Windows Server 2008 R2.
