dfsutil link add "\\Mydomain.pri\Links\Test\This is A Test" "\\fileserver1\share\This is A Test"

The DFS link it creates is "this is a test" instead of "This is A Test".

This is quite anoying, and frankly I don't understand why it would even do this. Is there a work around for this?

As a work around please use dfscmd /map to create links in dfs namespace.

Thanks

I have a problem with my DFS setup running Windows Server 2008. It's Active Directory integrated.

If a client doesn't have our fqdn as as dns search suffix the client cannot resolve the dfs. I guess this is due to the server replying with the netbios name instead of the dns name. I've set the DFSDNSConfig to 1 on both my dfs servers, but I am unsure if I need to delete the whole namespace and create it again as this article describes for Win2003. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/244380

Can any of you guys point me in the right direction?

Thanks

Sebastian
