Now that XP SP3 is in testing, can MS fix a very important bug in XP which deletes Vista's restore points every time Vista disks are mounted? Although XP is not aware of Vista's restore points mechanism, MS can make XP identity Vista restore points and make it not delete them.

Since almost all users initially, except upgraders will be dual-booting, none of them are able to take advantage of Vista's Previous versions feature and System Restore.

I dont mean backporting Vista's volsnap.sys. If only XP's Volsnap was modified to add one sureshot feature which would identity Vista's snapshots, and prevent it from deleting them. This is a major issue currently and many users are not even aware that in this way restore points and shadow backups are getting deleted.
