8-Bit (the movie) is cool.

On Sunday night I went out to dinner with some friends in the hip Capitol Hill neighborhood (much hipper than my neighborhood).  Anywho, after dinner, I noticed that the documentary about art and video games called 8-Bit was showing for its last night at the Northwest Film Forum, which we happened to be walking by.  I had missed it at GDC, so we decided to check it out.  It was pretty fun to watch and I recognized a lot of the old games that were being used for making music.  I'm not much of a gamer, but even I played some Super Mario at friends' houses growing up.  I found the non-technical artists trying to explain how the process of creating music on old GameBoys and Commodore 64's to be one of the most entertaining elements of the movie.  :)

In short, I recommend seeing it if you're in one of the select places it's playing.
