Welcome to the new Empower blog! Before I get into the really interesting stuff, I think it is probably worth explaining a little about the Empower Programme and why this blog has been created.

The Microsoft Empower Programme is a 12 month initiative (with the option to renew for a second year) designed to help Independent Software Vendors develop & release commercial software based on Microsoft technologies onto the market and ultimately to become Microsoft Certified Partners with the ISV competency - checkout the Empower website for more details.

Primarily, the aim of this blog is to communicate with all the Active Empower Members that I do not have time (with regret) to speak with individually. That said I plan to speak to each and every Empowered Partner within the next 12 months and am happy for any of you to contact me directly if I can be of assistance.

The best thing about this job (apart from beating my team mates on the putting green at lunchtimes) is getting to speak to lots of ISV’s developing all sorts of cool & exciting apps across every known vertical!

As mentioned in the title we are looking for the next generation ISV - those Partners who are adopting and developing on the newest Microsoft Technologies. My aim is to aid startup ISVs through the process of getting their apps into the marketplace and becoming Certified and using the benefits included in the Microsoft Partner Programme to complement their entrepreneurial efforts.

I hope to hear more about your offerings in the not too distant future. In the meantime I will endeavour to post blogs on a regular basis so that you can make the most of the benefits associated with being members of the Empower Programme!
