New job
Well, since October 2004 I've been doing a new role. I'd been working as a Technical Evangelist for a year, and the time was right for me to take on a new challenge. So I've taken on the role of Technical Evangelist manager. I now manage the team of Evanglists here in the UK, and I still keep up with the technical side of my role. The description of an Evangelist hasn't changed much since I first described my Day Job only now I get to do all of the admin and team meetings too :-)
My team are a group of highly motivated and talented technical individuals who interact with the IT Professional in a variety of different ways. We talk to audiences online, face to face, large audiences and small groups of influencers and community members. They love to talk, present at events, write articles, blogs and use Twitter, Facebook etc. as much as possible
So we're all just "Techies who can talk" really.... and we have a great time!
