Sending large files via email

Dave had an interesting issue with a mail he was trying to send:

Yahoo only allow 10MB to be sent. I tried to send 47MB. I cannot delete it from Outlook. I get a message it is "sending". It will not send or delete.

How do I delete the "outgoing Email"?

Is there a file storage place I can go to via microsoft Explore to delete the file?

I have tried to delete from the "Outbox".

I reminded Dave that almost all mail programs have a 10mb limit to prevent mail bombing attacks. See here for info on the default values:

You can also try these techniques for deleting mail stuck in your Outbox

or this if you’re using Windows Mail on Vista

Dave is all sorted out now. But what if you really need others to access your 47mb file?

You could always put it on Skydrive and mail others to access it from there. That’s a simple and effective way to store stuff in the cloud.

And your inbox doesn’t get clogged up either...
