OCS 2007 Bandwidth calculations
Arthur (who has links to all the OCS 2007 documentation) has been testing OCS against LCS 2005 and he's sent me his bandwidth results for OCS 2007 which I thought I'd share with you:
"Having read your posting about LCS 2005 bandwidth, (I do read your postings) I thought you might be interested in posting about the comparison between LCS & OCS bandwidth usage ….

| RoundTable (Conference video phone) | 50kbps | 350kbps |
Note that the requirements are cumulative –
Data + Voice + Video =
56 + 50 + 50 = 156kbps (Minimum Quality) or
56 + 80 + 250 = 386kbps (High Quality)"
This is not "official" Microsoft data by the way (I don't think that we've released the white papers yet and probably won't be until the product is available, but if you're doing scalability testing on OCS, then it's a really good rule of thumb for sizing your org...
