Atlas AJAX - Getting a richer experience for your users

I'm not a developer as you know, but I fully appreciate the amazing things that well developed and executed code can do.  I'm aware of most of our developer offerings at a high level, but wouldn't be able to deliver any presentations or demos.  Well I noticed this article on eWeek about the release of the beta of Atlas AJAX.  So why is this so significant?

Just have a look at the latest version of Outlook Web Access for Exchange 2007.  it's been written using ASP.Net AJAX and the interface is much much better than the previous interfaces which only used to use AJAX.  To use a marketing term (which I hate) it gives you a much richer experience.  Actually, with things like the autocomplete feature in the To: box and the generally more dynamic look and feel of OWA, this more "fluid" experience is provided by Atlas AJAX.

So as a general end user, this is a much closer experience to the full client, more intuitive (for a web page) and easier to use.

So that's why I'm encouraging you to get your developers to download and have a play with this beta. To get your own in-house applications working as seamlessly as OWA does.  And that can only be a benefit to your end users, and ultimately you...

(See - I should be in sales eh!)
