# Pre-Install Prob

Hi I am a Beta Tester for OpsManager 2007 and i just discovered that while i was installing it for the first time it gave me an error saying Monad was not installed well i downld Monad and tried installing it then i recieved and error from the Monad install that a version is already installed on the system it did not want Powershell installed on it so i removed Powershell and Monad installed perfectly, and so I was able to finish the OpsManager 2k7 installation.

Is there a newsgroup that i can report to? i have a login for the betanews group.

If you are evaluating OpsMgr 2007 Beta 2 which released in May 2006, it required Monad, because Monad had not yet been changed to PowerShell.  The final release of OpsMgr 2007 will require PowerShell.

# re: Managed Services in System Center Essentials 2007

I have already tried the approach of reinstalling the .NET Framework and had no luck, just to make sure I tried again and it failed. The part that fails durring the SQL setup is the reporting services. Just to make sure we have everything looked at. This server was a former Server 2000 box upgraded to Server 2003 SP1. Active directory is installed on this machine as a child domain machine. I unstalled the MSXML 6.0 durring the SCE setup. I installed .Net 2.0, then downloaded the security updates, installed .Net 3.0 and also got the security updates and the hot fix update. Then I tried to install SQL 2005 Express and it bombs on me. Hope any of this helps. Is their a list out there with more detailed prerequisites with services that I should be looking for?

It looks like it might be that my machine is not granting authority for the SQL certificates, where do I grant them authority to be trusted? I added them into my I.E. trusted cirts but it hung up again, but I have a feeling this may be an issue.
