welcome. my name is dan rey and i've been with microsoft almost 4 years now. i am a windows client deployment specialist in the midwest district (supporting illinois, indiana and wisconsin customers). prior to joining microsoft i spent 5 years as a technical trainer and before training i was a consultant for 5 years. i started at a help desk at the company my wife now works for and rose from the ranks to their lead network administrator during my first 5 years in corporate america. i have been working in information technology for 19 years now, but have been into computers for about 27 years (ever since my dad purchased an ibm pc for our home when i was in middle school).
this blog is a great way to learn tips and tricks about microsoft windows and it's also a way to get to know a little about me and the influences in my life (besides computers, software, bicycling, music and movies). i'm also going to begin populating the other places that i get technical content from on the internet.
