Re the loopback adapter problem some TS steps to try:
1) is this machine on corpnet and subject to IPSEC?
2) Can you ping either way? Please verify that VM Network Service is bound to the loopback adapter in the host (check the loopback adapter properties). If it isn't, check the box.
3) the admin console for VS, is there a virtual loopback network created? If not, please create it and bind it to the loopback adapter on the host
4) Verify under your VM settings that the virtual NIC is bound to the virtual network created above
