This statement frightens me:

"We will announce plans for decommissioning the existing REST based SDS service when we introduce the new TDS based SDS Service."

So what happens when the next flavor-of-the-month comes along and you decide to decommission TDS-SDS and replace it with something else? Meanwhile, my company is left with an inoperable system and more development money to be thrown down the black hole.

I agree with Yuduke, Microsoft is a dirty word around my company now as we have spent thousands of dollars putting together a solution around SDS. I feel burnt and will not be moving to Azure table storage, rather SimpleDB because Amazon is doing what they say they will do.
