Microsoft prepares to grow IT Pro communities worldwide

Microsoft has a deep commitment to growing and nurturing communities organized around supporting users of our products and technologies. Several popular not-for-profit Microsoft technical communities include INETA for developers, PASS for SQL Server users and Culminis for IT Pros. SQL Server users and enthusiasts will be happy to learn that Microsoft has announced a major initiative to align internal support for IT Pro communities, such as Culminis and PASS, with our proven model for supporting INETA's developer communities.

This is a very exciting initiative that will bring improvements to how Microsoft supports IT Pro communities worldwide and to how members connect with Microsoft. With SQL Server 2008 set to RTM later this year, there is no better time to get involved. The benefits of joining a local Culminis or PASS community devoted to helping you learn and connect with people that share your technical interests and background is immeasurable.

    Thanks for the link Anthony!

There is quite a discussion going on at the moment in the comments section of my blog as to if this is a good thing or not - I'd love to get more points of view if anyone wants to add their opinion...
