Heroes Happen Here: Comics, Master Chief and fancy dress

I blogged a few weeks ago about the theme of the upcoming launch of Windows Server 2008, SQL Server 2008 and Visual Studio 2008 as "Heroes Happen Here (HHH)". Whilst the actual theory may have a high cheese rating, I really believe in the essence of what it means.  HHH is all about recognising the great work done by IT professionals and developers with technology. As we all know, its not just the product in the box that achieves success with the projects you run........its your hard work, creativity and skills that do.

So the next instalment of the build up to 19th March is the release of the first comic for the HHH Comic Series driven by the launch team in the US. You can use the RSS feed to receive the comic everyday of the working week. (click here to view the full released version).

As you may have guessed, there will be a lot of hero-themed stuff going on at the big launch event on 19th March. TechNet & MSDN will be running the community area and I felt very proud of myself yesterday as I have managed to secure the biggest hero in the Xbox gaming world to join us.........

..............yes that's right, MASTER CHIEF will be there for the day (well a life-sized statue of him so bring your cameras to get a picture with him for those of you that are registered)

I have also heard whisperings from the blogosphere, that some of you are getting caught up with the hero theme, and were considering attending the event in hero costumes! We absolutely loved that idea and there is very likely to be a prize for the best dressed attendee
