Scandinavian Air Service Migrates Data Warehouse from Z series/DB2 to Dl580 with Cobol emulation from Microfocus
Many financial services cost containment discussions start and end with "alas its on a mainframe in Cobol, and its probably prohibitive to extract ourselves from it". Here is and example of Scandinavian Air using Microfocus to migrate the Cobol Data Warehouse applications from the Mainframe to a Intel based DL580 running Sql Server 2005.
