Shop Green, save money via Live Cashback
I was shopping for a camera since my old SLR didn't survive the 4ft drop onto concrete it was subjected to. I was settling in on a Sony SLR sine they had bought Minolta and would accept my current lenses, but found most places had the same price. This is when I found out about the new Cash Back program at Windows Live search. Live has worked with a number of retailers to provide 2-5% back if you use Live to access the retailer via your Windows Live ID. This was a $25 savings on this item. I looked into this further, and found that Live has changed the old paradigm of you search to shop, find the item, buy and the retailer pays the search provider for the link into actually putting you in the playing field by giving you money for using their search to shop.
Two wins here - you help by not driving somewhere to buy, and you save more money by participating in the online marketplace to the tune of 2 to 5% back.

PS..I tried putting in the term cash back into mysearchoff and received widely ranging results from all three engines, although not surprising that Live gave me back the appropriate site first, since its their property :). If you put the term Live Cashback in, you get the right result from all three. To me this means that search is still a nascent field, ready for lots of improvement. (How about some graphics, as I'm not on a teletype??)
PSS- I know, my own blog is a glass house in this regard..I'm working on that..
