Mobile Banking

The hottest topic at BAI this year was Mobile banking via phone. Featured was an    announcement by AT&T of a mobile banking application for all of their phones with access to Wachovia Bank. This is a Basic Java account access App built by Firethorn (acquired by Qualcomm as of friday) so that any phone can access banking. Two other phone banking companies of note are M-Com, ( http://www.m-com.us/Content/Home/ )with a partnership with ANZ bank, and Tyfone (www.tyfone.com ) with a novel phone payments solution on a secure rfid chip.
