The Cloud..My 21st Century Attic

As you hear in the movie theaters...from the director of the Internet boom which would last forever...oop. Comes the everlasting, ever expanding, personal storage in the cloud. Current trend is more and more personal storage, so you dont have to worry about wasting time deleting things you dont need or want. I know in an ideal world, we all delete unwanted items, and now have a great space for those treasures we didnt have space for before....but my thoughts drift to the vision of an ever expanding spot on the way from my mailbox to my house where I would drop off magazines, ads, credit card offers, etc, and they would just sit there.

In an era of lots of cloud space with hidden impact, plus now the Home Server to better organize all the files, pictures, etc at home, how about augmenting the "clear the air day" with a "clear the data day", where we delete old mails and not so valuable pics/videos? Electronic spring cleaning.

I know there are some "I do this every day" folks, but I'm sure there are others with a growing attic in the cloud.
