Financial Services Development Community Sites and resources

Mike Wons of our Financial Services Community passed along some good information of Developer resources that I'm happy to share below:

Financial Services Developer Community

  • The Financial Services group supports a community website for the architects and developers in Banking, Capital Markets, and Insurance.  The website includes the latest updates on using the Microsoft Platform and includes white papers, case studies, events, and other resources to help our customers and partners in Financial Services.  The site also supports our quarterly newsletter that is deployed electronically to the subscriber base.
  • The site has been updated for September and includes some great new information around deploying distributed work flow processes with Windows Workflow and Web Services, an update on using WPF for creating a very powerful user experience, and the use of Windows Mobile in Financial Services.
  • The site has also been updated with the recordings and on-demand webcasts from the “Unwrapped for Financial Services” webcast week.  The webcast week featured 14 different 90 minute sessions focused specifically on the use of the Windows Platform and .NET in Financial Services.
  • The site is located at: http://www.financialdevelopers.com

MSDN Solution Architecture Center

  • The Financial Services group architects support a community website that is targeted toward the architect community in Financial Services.  The site includes hundreds of resources that are focused on the challenge that architects face as they are preparing the organization for new approaches including service oriented architectures.
  • Latest topics include Software as a Service (SaaS), From Business Capabilities to Services, 2007 Office System for Architects, Software Factories, Foundations for Solutions Architectures, and Industry Centers.  http://msdn.microsoft.com/architecture/getstart/default.aspx
  • The site is located at: http://msdn.microsoft.com/architecture/industry/finservs/
