Softgrid..more

Comments both online and in person meetings on the description and demos of Softgrid and its capability to virtualize applications have been overwhelmingly positive. As I see more demonstrations of its capabilities such as running several versions of office applications at the same time I continue to be more impressed.

Thinking of trying out Office2007 without impacting the desktop environment? Run it in Softgrid.

Those with older Access apps needing to run in previous versions (lots of the financial community) or even those struggling with maintaining desktop standards and finding methods of deploying new apps (did I mention the web screen of available apps a client can choose from) will find Softgrid a blessing.

The application caches on the hard drive and runs when only 15% of it is downloaded, so is far far quicker than loading cd's..

If you are looking to lower deployment, management, software distribution costs, or a good disaster planning tool (works well as a roaming profile manager), you should take a look.
