Expanding your world view through photosynth
Photosynth, of Microsoft Live Labs, enables photo collaboration on a large scale, using technology to stitch together photographs allowing for multiple views (3d like) of places where you've been by stitching your photos together with others of the same locales.
This is a whole new way to think of "Grid computing", by amassing shared knowledge into a knowledge topology.
