Microsoft Virtual Server Announcement
Microsoft has announced that they will no longer charge for the Virtual Server product, and that there will be support for SUSE and Red Hat Linux in virtual server as well. Please see the announcement at http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserversystem/virtualserver/default.mspx
for details. IMHO, this removes more barriers in the server consolidation and management space, while more work is needed in specific capabilities in moving the Virtualized environments as an alternative to failover.
