Configuration Manager Team
Rob Stack’s Bio

I'm a technical writer in the Configuration Manager UA team who has been working with the product group to produce documentation for the product since 2006. I've worked on a number of features including DCM, client deployment, SQL Reporting Services, client health and remote control.
Additionally, I re-wrote the Configuration Manager 2007 feature quizzes to utilize the more advanced presentation features available in Microsoft Silverlight and also co-authored the MSPress book Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Administrator's Companion with my manager, Steve Kaczmarek and the rest of the team.
My background is in Engineering. In a past life, I was a road and bridge designer in London. I'm old enough to have been there when computers started appearing and changed the way we did design work. I developed a keen interest in them which gradually evolved into running their entire computer system. I then discovered a little product called SMS 2.0, deployed it and shortly afterwards found myself running a world-wide site. To cut a long story short, I attended an MMS in 2005, got chatting to a fellow Brit from Microsoft and a year later found myself transplanted to Redmond where I'm now enjoying a new career as a writer.
