Last week we had the pleasure of meeting with a handful of Microsoft MVPs. Our goal for this meeting was to simply hear how we at Microsoft could do a better job helping our MVPs in their efforts to support and grow a healthy community. The meeting was scheduled for an hour but went almost 2 and I have to say that I wish we would have had about twice as much time as we had.
One of the topics that intrigued me the most was how we could do a better job of helping user groups. What we expected to hear was that we simply needed to do a better job providing speakers. What we heard instead was that we need to do a much better job providing best practices, give-away items, a documented framework that helps user groups get rolling, etc…
Great stuff!! We want to hear more. If you run, or are part of a user group, what are some of the thing that Microsoft could do to help improve your user group experience?
