Ker-blah....

Nothing particularly exciting to post about today. Lots of busy work around the house. The peak of the day is right now as I write this and load up the new Zune with some tunes. Actually, I did build two dog beds. One for Shadow, my friend Jamie's pug and another for Archibald (Wiener), my friend Carrie's dachshund. Frames are done just need the wife to make the cushions.

Wow....just synched up some video clips with the new 2nd Gen 8 gig Zune. I have never understood why anyone would want to watch anything but short video clips on a small handheld device. There just isn't a better experience than seeing a movie on the big screen. This screen is very small which I really like for a music player, but I will stick to watching movies on my laptop. That is about as small of a screen as I can tolerate.

Speaking of screens, I have to call my cable company tomorrow to let them know that I am able to pick up their signal still. I built out a Vista Media Center with the new TV Pack and it is able to pull the signal off my cable which I canceled about a month ago. I don't want to have the temptation of a signal there so I can make it to my goal of 1 year with no TV Signal. Prior to loading the TV Pack enabled system the cable line was garbled.

The TV Pack also fixed a screen positioning issue I was having. I had some black space on the top, bottom, and left side of the screen when playing by HD content prior to loading the TV Pack. Now the screen edges are practically perfect.

I haven;t really read up too much on what else the TV Pack has to offer since my Media Center is primarily a playback device and not a recorder. I will read up, test and post anything interesting that I find later this week.

Cheers!
