On 27 June, Microsoft Switzerland will present you the first «Web Summit», a one day conference targeted at software developers, architects and web designers. We will bring you up to speed on the current technologies offered by Microsoft in the web development space, cover best practices for web application architectures, performance and security and show you what the next generation of our software development platform and the newly announced design tools will have to offer for people who build and design web solutions.

Who should attend?

Developers
Developers can dive deep into the latest Microsoft Web technologies, including a thorough overview of the current ASP.NET 2.0. Furthermore, the latest web-technology-standards and their implications for web projects will be discussed, such as ATOM, RSS or REST.

Architects
Architects will be able to get up to speed on topics such as security and single sign-on, web application performance and software as a service. The second part of the event will be focused on future web technologies. We will discuss topics such as «Atlas», the ASP.NET based AJAX framework, SharePoint 2007 and the Windows Presentation Foundation.

Web Designers
Designers can learn how Microsoft's platform technologies will allow them to create rich experiences that incorporate video, advanced typography, vector graphics, and 3D graphics. Explore new ways to differentiate your sites from those of your competitors and learn how to streamline the designer-developer pipeline and discuss strategies for improving your site's usability.

A new suite of tools for Web and Graphics designers: Microsoft Expression

Besides the current and upcoming versions of ASP.NET technologies that allow architects and developers to build state-of-the-art web applications, we will be introducing a new suite of tools targeted at web and graphics designers, called Microsoft Expression.

Microsoft Expression takes creativity to all new levels.
